5 Pillars of Islam: These are the worships upon which the Islamic religion is based, and these worships are the most important assumptions approved by God Almighty and upon which the religion is based. The following is an easy way to explain the pillars of Islam.

The first pillar: the two testimonies or Shahada

The first pillar of 5 Pillars of Islam is the two testimonies or Shahada , which is to testify that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger. It does not mean saying the testimonial only verbally, but the heart must have faith that there is no god but God and belief that our master Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, is the Messenger of God, and that he is God. The One Sunday and to worship Him without involving anyone in Him.

The second pillar is the establishment of prayer

The second pillar of 5 Pillars of Islam is the establishment of prayer, and prayer is defined as the connection of the servant with his Lord, whereby he submits to God and submits to Him, recites the Noble Qur’an and supplicates to God and humiliates Him, and it is one of the most important pillars of Islam where the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, said:” Prayer”.

And God made it obligatory for Muslims to pray during the ascension of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, to the heavens. At first, it was fifty prayers, then God Almighty reduced it, so it became five prayers, but its reward is fifty prayers. The prayers are:

  • Fajr prayer (two rak’ahs).
  • Dhuhr prayer (four rak’ahs).
  • Asr prayer (four rak’ahs).
  • Maghrib prayer (three rak’ahs).
  • Isha prayer (four rak’ahs).

The third pillar: Paying zakat

The third  pillar of 5 Pillars of Islam is zakat, and God Almighty has said (and establish prayer and give zakat), and zakat is defined as part of the money that the rich give out every year to give to the poor and the needy. The rich and the poor are interconnected in society.

The fourth pillar is fasting Ramadan

The fourth pillar of 5 Pillars of Islam is fasting Ramadan, where God Almighty said (O you who have believed, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you), and every year of Ramadan has come to you from fasting and the month of sunset has passed by the Muslim. Come to fast Ramadan so that the rich feel the hunger of the poor, and so that Muslims feel the blessings of God upon them.

The fifth pillar is the pilgrimage to the House of those who are able to do so

It is the fifth pillar of 5 Pillars of Islam, and God has commanded Muslims to perform the pilgrimage to the House and for those who are able, and the Almighty said (and by God the people make the pilgrimage to the House of those who are able to make a way to it), and the pilgrimage is defined as visiting the sacred House of God and performing the circumambulation around the Kaaba. And perform all the rituals of Hajj.
