recite quran means following the method of recitation in which the Qur’an was revealed and also following the commands mentioned in the Qur’an and staying away from prohibitions.

Etiquette of recite quran

In order to recite quran, there are a set of etiquettes that a Muslim must do when reciting the Qur’an, which are:

1- The reader will be pure.

2- To be in a clean place.

3- To seek refuge with Allah at the beginning of his recitation, whether it is at the beginning or during the surah.

4- The basmalah at the beginning of every surah except for Surah Bara’ah (Al Tawba).

5- To recite with humility out of respect for the Noble Qur’an.

6- To read with contemplation and contemplation of the meanings, thinking about the meanings of what he reads.

7- To improve his voice during recitation without being obligated.

8- The listener, whether he hears from a reader or from a radio, must listen and think about the verses of the Qur’an.

9- Reciting the Qur’an and reciting it well.

10- Refrain from reading when yawning until it no longer exists.

11- The reciter’s belief in his Lord, and his testimony to his Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he conveyed the message upon completion of the recitation.

Ranks of recite quran

There are four levels of recite quran , and five are said to be:

The First Ranks of recite quran : Al Tahqiq

It is reading slowly and calmly, with the intention of teaching, contemplating the meanings and observing the rulings.

The Second Ranks of recite quran: Al Tartil

It is reading slowly and calmly, not with the intention of teaching, while contemplating the meanings and observing the rulings.

The Third Ranks of recite quran: Al Hadr

It is reading quickly, taking into account the provisions.

The Fourth Ranks of recite quran: Al Tadwir

It is reading in an intermediate state between slowness and haste, taking into account the rulings.

Best times to recite quran

1- The best recitation is what was in prayer and the doctrine of al-Shafi’i and others, may God have mercy on them: Extending the standing in prayer with recitation is better than making it long in prostration and others.

2- As for recitation outside of prayer, the best of it is recitation at night, and the last half of it is better than the first.

3- Reciting between Maghrib and Isha is beloved.

4- As for reciting during the day after the morning prayer, it is not makrooh at other times.

5- He chooses from the days: Friday, Monday, and the day of Arafat.

6- From the tithes: the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, and the last ten days of Ramadan.

7- One of the months is Ramadan.
