In language, Tefseer means explaining and detailing books, and interpreting something means clarifying and clarifying it. It carries the meaning of disclosure and clarification, and the interpretation of the Qur’an in legal terminology means clarification of its meanings and expressions; It is a science that guides to understanding the words of God – the Mighty and Sublime – revealed to Muhammad – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – and clarifies its meanings, and helps to extract its rulings and judgments; It is a fundamental science of linguistics, grammar, morphology, eloquence, jurisprudence, and Qur’anic readings, and what helps in this is knowing the reasons for revelation, abrogating and abrogating.

Types of Tefseer Quran

Tefseer’s knowledge the Noble Qur’an has gained great importance among scholars; They strived to divide the science of Tefseer into several sections; Tefseer with the proverb, Tefseer by opinion, Tefseer by reference, and the following is an explanation of this in detail:

• Tefseer by the maxim (interpretation according to the narration): It is intended to clarify what God wants – the Most High – from the Qur’anic verses through another verse, or what was reported from the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – or from the companions of the Messenger of God – may God be pleased with them all – and one of the most famous books Tefseer in the maxim Tefseer al-Tabari, Tefseer al-Suyuti: Al-Durr al-Manthur in Tefseer in the maxim, Tefseer is divided into several sections, in the following mentioned:

1- Tefseer the Qur’an with the Qur’an: It is intended that a Qur’anic verse comes that explains the meaning of another verse, as in the saying of God – the Mighty and Sublime: As He, the Most High, said: (They said, “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely be among the losers”).

2- Tefseer The Qur’an with the Sunnah: This is by interpreting a Qur’anic verse with an honorable prophetic hadith.

3- Tefseer The Qur’an with what was narrated from the Companions: The interpretation of the Companions – may God be pleased with them – sometimes coincides with the reasons for the revelation of the Noble Qur’an, so it takes their words, and there is no room for opinion in it; So he takes the ruling of the transmitted one, but if there is room for an opinion in it, it is in the ruling of the suspended one as long as it is not attributed to the Messenger of God – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.

• Tefseer by opinion (Tefseer by admonition): means that Tefseer depends on the interpretation, so that he knows the words of the Arabs, their words and their connotations, knows the abrogated and abrogated, and the reasons for revelation, and everything related to the sciences of the Qur’an and its tools.
• Tefseer indicative (Tefseer by reference): This means the Tefseer of the verses of the Noble Qur’an with a hidden sign that appears to those whom God Almighty has singled out with a special understanding; The text is interpreted in a way that is not apparent, and Ibn al-Qayyim – may God Almighty have mercy on him – controlled this type of interpretation with a number of controls; As if Tefseer does not contradict the meaning of the Qur’anic verse, and that the meaning is correct in itself, and other conditions.

The status of Tefseer Quran

God Almighty revealed the Noble Qur’an to be a book of guidance to the worlds; People are united on the truth, and the differences between them are reduced, and this is only possible by understanding and knowing the purposes of the Holy Qur’an, and here lies the importance and position of Tefseer; Understanding the context of the verses has a significant impact on understanding the meaning of the Qur’anic text, and the greatest Tefseer and a statement of the verses of the Holy Qur’an is the Tefseer of the Holy Qur’an itself.
