■ Reducing food: Excessive eating leads to laziness in performing acts of worship, and lack of reverence when standing before God – Glory be to Him – and reducing food is one of the purposes of fasting.
■ Learn the provisions of fasting: the scholars have gone to the necessity of learning the provisions of fasting for everyone who is obligated to fast; Ignorance of the provisions of fasting, its etiquette, and its conditions is one of the reasons that may deprive a Muslim of reward and reward. Perhaps someone who has a legitimate excuse that necessitates his breaking his fast may fast, and perhaps the slave fasted and he only gained hunger and thirst from his fast.
